Hi Kevin I have decided to run my mig on gas from now on, especially while trying to learn.
Watching your videos have been a great help thank you.

Fun machine to use! Easy to move around and just right for the little jobs that are hanging around.

Great video!Just got my 3 in 1 welder today, glad I watched your video on running fluxcore wire, nothing in the manual says how to hook up the wire to negitive connection!

Also I had to use a longer stick out and I didn't need the gas shroud - that made it really easy to see everything I was welding. The total of this information was given to me by the vendor and a welding instructor. I still haven't figured out the best settings (voltage and speed wise) to weld with flux - the welder doesn’t have a chart like my old welder. I just need more practice and to watch you some.

I use the grease with mine all the time. Normally about every half hour or so I will pull the nozzle, wipe clean and recoat.

Casting is going to be outside of my comfort zone for a while yet. Need to make a lot more space before I can get set up for that.

You need the spool gun to push the aluminum wire. Because the aluminum is so soft you can't run it through a regular mig gun and cable. There are push/pull guns for mig but they get rather pricey.

Great question, thanks for posting....

Have to get to the shop and see how that works....

I will be back

Hi,
I mainly use flux core to weld with and the last welder I brought, I had to put a knurled feed roller in so I could use less weight on the tensioner as the flux core is soft and the wire flattens out in the tensioner. Plus when you change the polarity you are putting the heat in to the wire (normally the heat goes into the job but the wire needs heat to melt the flux) so the wire expands with the heat and I had to use the next size tip - I had .8 wire and had to use .9 tip

Hello dear
Learning a lot from your videos 👍
Was wondering about the flux core wire roller K groove versus the V groove ones ... What difference would it make if i use the V groove for flux core welding ? Will it affect the quality of the welds in any way ?
Thanks a lot and keep it up !
