that feeling when knee surgery is tomorrow

This is one thing I still struggle with with my knee surgery. I got surgery July 2019, and I had to figure out another way to exercise because I kept freaking out that my knee was throbbing and sometimes it will either get swollen. Ended up getting with a trainer and we found a way to warm up the knee and have a really good workout without having any soreness in the knee the next day.

I’ve had total replacement on both knees. PT is important! I have 115 degree range of motion. Nothing slowing me down. It was a piece of cake!

Recovery from knee surgery can be extremely challenging and painful, but it's important to prioritize pain management and rehabilitation to achieve the best results.

completely tore my ACL had surgery, it took me one week to walk, 3 months to walk without pain and no limping, 7 months to start working out, 1 year to compete, so if you are going through surgery don’t be afraid

I just had knee surgery, a knee replacement, and I start off doing the exercise that I was instructed to do by the physical therapist. Then I got depressed because it felt like nothing was happening then two days went by without my medication, and it feels like my new stiffening upright about now I’m mortified and everybody out there reading this. Please pray for my knee cause I’m praying for it and I’m doing the best I can trying to stay positive.

Yes... Even repairing a tear is difficult. Your knee never really feels the same again

I'm very grateful how well my knee surgery went and how (relatively) easy the recovery period was. It's not the same knee I had as a child, but it's way better than it was after an accident!

I’m on my third knee surgery this year and a few months before my accident I had a huge spinal fusion surgery from years of horse competition. The knee surgeries were so much more difficult to recover from due to the weight put on the knee. I wasn’t expecting my spine surgery to be so much easier than my knee surgeries.

I’m 26 and have had a joint disease and have had four knee surgeries 3 tibia tubercle transfers (one a revision on my right leg) three Mpfl reconstructions (one another revision on one leg) and one patella realignment and two trochlearplasty which is a rare procedure done for extreme cases of patellar instability. All done in one surgery five hours surgeries each 4 knee surgeries total (2 on each knee) my whole life of 26 years has been spent recovering from painful knee surgeries. First one when I was 16 second one when I was 21 third one at 26 now 4 one just had done 3 months after the third one.

At the age of 72 which was last September I ha a TKR on my right knee and I kept moving and exercising it because if not scar tissue will develope. It's one of the worst surgeries to get, very painful and it takes a long while to get healed. I'm glad I had it done because it feels so much better but not getting my left knee done.

My friend recently had a surgery for his ACL (which got torn by his OWN football teammate because his teammate was stupid) but anyway, he healed really good so far.

Hey I feel this! As of yesterday (Thursday, September 15th) I am 5 weeks post op from an ACL replacement and a meniscus repair after tearing both while playing basketball, but it gets easier, if people say it’s not that bad, hit them in the shins with a crutch

I had a total knee replacement almost four months ago. I stayed in a rehab for21 days and glad I did. Yes surgery hurt like hell and so did rehab because bone doesn’t like to be touched. So glad I did rehab the pt’s and the equipment is what got me back in shape again. So don’t turn rehab down. You are cheating yourself

You’ve got that right! One surgery ~ then 2 more to break scar tissue under my knee cap. What a difficult time that was. Especially working in retail, having to stand every day. Ice, Ice and more ice
