For anyone who is still not sure after that - I can confirm, having seen them in Chichester, this show has the most fantastic cast. Fagin, Nancy, Dodger and even Mr Bumble - all superb.

I enjoyed watching the cast of Oliver on The Royal Variety Performance and then I saw it on stage at the Gielgud Theatre in London on Tuesday 17th December 2024 which was absolutely fantastic

The longevity of Oliver! Shows what a fine musical it is, but I think the quintessential Fagin is still Ron Moody.

I still remember how incredible Sonia Swaby wad back in the 90s as Nancy! Her performance on that Mackintosh concert is incredible

Love how respectful the British audience is, no hollering or cheering, in the middle of a song. Only polite applause at the end of the numbers. Unlike in the US

Hyper energy charged performances by all. At 72, I was a kid when this show first opened and my first taste was a medley much like this one, but on The Ed Sullivan Show. Have seen it on stage several times, and of course the movie. Have always loved it, and this looks like a worthy revival.

Brilliant and look out for a new musical about Oliver this year it is called Twisted and takes the original show 15 later the first show of the tour is in the Albert Halls Bolton on the 18 June
