Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Lionel Bart’s iconic musical, Oliver!, which he has fully reconceived with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne, will open in London at the Gielgud Theatre on Saturday 14 December 2024.

With a sensational score, including Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah, As Long As He Needs Me and many more, the Olivier, Tony and Oscar-winning masterpiece vividly brings to life Dickens’ ever-popular story of the boy who asked for more.

Saw it in Chichester. Went with a slightly negative old show, same old songs....left ridiculously happy. Great production. All leads were fantastic. Couldn't keep my eyes off Fagin, and when Nancy belts out the big number....and holds the big wow.

I did Oliver as my schools Yr8 play, it was amazing, the choreography, the songs, the music, the play itself-everything was so fun. Really enjoyed it, can’t wait to come and watch the professionals do it!!

So nancy and oliver is "of colour" why can't we keep productions true to how they were written. I am not racist, but keep a production like this, how it was originally concieved and produced.
