After I heard my coworkers talked about their airline credit cards, I checked into it. It looks like all of the ones that provide more “miles” have large annual fees. But my coworkers swear up and down that it is worth it. I decided not to play this game.

So true. Unfortunately, I learned it the hard way. Now, when I need to book a flight, I just look for the best connection and price and not worry about points, miles, etc. It is very liberating.

live in colo. while alive, mom lived in ohio. over 30 years, i flew less and less. door to door 5 hours vs
22 hours. the time was worth it. listened to cds and got to watch this beautiful country roll by. did it twice a year and loved it every drive. miss the drives and mom; 10 years on.

I will gladly be beholden to Delta ! I will pay more to fly delta because of my status and perks. The 650 annual fee on my delta Amex is worth it for lounge access alone . We have never paid interest . We use it for everything that we budget and purchase, including all our flights. We each (my wife and d myself) get 3-4 first class/ delta one flights each year. Domestic we pay 11.20 for these flights and a little over 100 for international. Worth it in our opinion. Loyalty also has its perks. We are frequently upgraded from comfort+ to first class.

I love the vid but I use my credit card as a debit card. And I pay it off the moment I use it or in full every month. I get a lot of benefit out of my credit cards. To each their own!
