They lived through the Great Depression and then WWII. These people were not privileged in their lives and did what needed to be done to help the world. Many joined the military before the age of eighteen. I’ve never seen or heard any of them complaining that life was too difficult and they needed a safe place. Thank you for your service and my most humble regards to you.

My Dad was one of those - B24 navigator, went to Stanford on the GI Bill, continued with the Air Force for 30 years. Married to my mother for life, raised 4 honorable kids. I am forever grateful to have had this man as a father.

My grandfather was in new Guinea in WW2. Those men went through a lot, and came back home and made families, trying to work through the horrors of war on their own. Thank God for these brave men
