The behavior of Evan is consistent with someone who experienced premature sexual exposure or a traumatic sexual experience in childhood. By his own admission, he has an early sexual history, characterized by sexual impulsivity, including infidelity and promiscuity. He is hypersexual, and his affect and unreservedness are entirely inappropriate.

I suspect someone transgressed his sexual boundaries at an early age, and as an adult, he now enjoys transgressing the sexual boundaries of others through exhibitionism. Hence, why he explained to an interior design professional that he wants a specific chair for sexual purposes, and then demonstrated a sexual position when recounting the anecdote to an interviewer that he knew would be published to thousands of people on a video sharing platform.

I believe he is genuinely attracted to Bill, but I do not believe his attraction is pure. I think he is attracted to Bill insofar as the significant age difference between them is able to shock other people. This is evident in his insistence on describing himself in highly-charged terns, and describing what he loves about Bill in strictly physical terms. Instead of stating that he loves the character of Bill, or their shared interests or values, he states he loves the appearance of Bill, reducing him to a fetish object, and not a person.

I think Evan is a deeply-wounded person, whose histrionic and inappropriate behavior makes it nearly impossible for others to feel sorry for him. He comes across as creepy and perverse, and that he is suspect and should not be entirely trusted.

I hardly ever comment but the fact that they might see this made me type this: your love is so beautiful and genuine and it is so clear how much you mean to each other it is so heart warming.
I’m 32 and have never been in a serious relationship. I’m bisexual/ lesbian leaning and I often worry that I will be alone forever. Or that my golden years are behind me. My Grandma lived past 107 so... really, he could live 15 more years with the love of his life.
