I think hand drawn or 2D animation is timeless. There is definitely still an audience for it and as long as humans are still drawing, it will never die out.

I'd say for if you want to be an animator, you should take at least a 1 class in traditional animation. This will help you tremendously in the field of 2d vector animation, and as well for 3D. Because as much as you have practice with 3d, its all about posing, and that is why it is so important to have a solid grip of the fundamental which you will gain to the fullest from traditional animation. And, along the way, your drawing skills will be top notch and you'll be ready to kick ass!

20 years old, did not go to any art school.. have drawn since I was little.. stopped after went to high school though but can say still have a passion for drawing kind of stuff.. will it be too late to start thinking about a career in Animation? I would love to work for Animation studios in CA.

animation career doesnt pay much unless u are extraordinary, as animation didnt work for me so i am regretting as to i dont have any other special skills
