I highly recommend Wrangler hiking shorts from target. They have a draw string and are made of nice breathable material. The kicker for me was they can really be played off as nice shorts they have front and back pockets (front pockets are great, all your stuff doesnt fall out like most athletic shorts) plus they got a fly which is usually the most annoying things missing from drawstring shorts.
