Meater thermometer Tips and Tricks

There are now 3 Meater thermometer products, the original Meater, Meater + and the Meater block. Here I give some tips to help you get the best out of your Meater meat thermometer, perhaps you have lost connection or the Meater isn't charging, you can speak to the helpful Meater customer services, but using this checklist, you can work through some of the common problems some users have experienced. Often simply cleaning the probe end, or a fresh set of batteries will sort your issue out.

I find it easier to insert the tip into the charger first, then push the base in. 2:26

Very helpful. I always clean the barrel as soon as it's safe to touch, but I'd overlooked the end that does the transmitting and recharging. Thanks for this, and for the video about the chicken. I'd put the probe in the wrong spot for my whole chicken, with the result that the breast was underdone. This probe has made steaks, fish, and now chicken, easy to get just right.

Thanks for this video! This was helpful as we had tin foil touching one of the probes but the other was working so we knew it wasn't a connection issue but it started working as soon as we moved it away from the foil! Thanks again!

Well I charged mine over night and it still doesnt connect. I replaced the battery that came with it with a new one. The replacement battery is still AAA but it doesnt fit properly, wont make a connection. I had to bend the metal tabs to get brand name batteries to make a connection. After a quick charge, it seemed to fix the connection issues.

Do you know how to get the sounds to work? It keeps telling me that the sound is muted but everywhere I check on my iphone, I can't see where it's muted! It's driving me crazy. I have to remember to keep looking at my phone because the sounds don't work.

I love mine I just bought it recently. Though I keep getting issues with chicken being a bit undercooked but after watching this I have a feeling I wasn't putting the probe in far enough as I thought that line meant max like you say

Huh? You're telling me the original Meater the probe and the charging box need be in close proximity because the base charging box sends the information to the app? I thought the Meater probe itself sent the signal to the app?
