Such a great video. So in depth and really clear with the instructions. Best part is how well u did the electrical portion. Ive never done a single thing involving electrical work, but i feel very confident that I'll be able to do this part myself along with the rest of the install and probably save $300-400. Can't beat that with a stick!!! Thank u sir

Wow, this video was really easy to understand. I’ve never got an explanation close to this regarding these systems. Outside of the electrical work I feel I could tackle this install. I will be gutting and re doing the inside of my home this spring and this is something I’ve been interested in installing. Thank you so much!

One of the best DIY Explainer on YouTube and I have seen a lot. I have bookmarked just about all his videos as I am finishing a 3-car garage workshop thingy with a loft. My question today is not 100% on the mini split itself, but drywalling around the air handling unit. I noticed in this video that the wall the unit is going on has drywall on the walls but not yet on the ceiling. I gather (for clear reasons) that ceilings are supposed to get drywalled first. In mine, I was eager to mount the unit that I am feverishly installing insulation and drywalling .. the wall.

Logic being that I just need to get the unit up and running (dual zone 27K unit that it is) because, well, winter is coming. I was committed to completing the insulation of the ceiling, then removing the top half of the drywall on the walls so that I can do things the "right way." But seeing this from The Excellent Laborer is making me think I'm not doing that. If it is good enough for him, then by golly, I am going to plow ahead!

(so glad I saw this. saved me a ton of unnecessary work). I'll go watch the subsequent videos .. again, but carefully.

Thanks. This is the best, most detailed video of this process I’ve seen. I will be following it step by step.

I bought one of these last summer and looked for YT install videos. This is the first video I’ve seen😂 so after 8 months I guess it’s time to go back and complete the installation 😂

Best video I've watched on mini-split installation. It's perfect because it includes wiring the disconnect box. Perfect! 😎

Your video is the best instructional video I have seen on YouTube. The step-by-step instructions are very useful. Love it that you didn't take it for granted that folks watching the video know what you are talking about and skipped important steps. Nice job!!!

I love these. I am going to be installing a 4/5 ton Mr Cool Hyper-Heat universal. I think the no vac/pre charged lines could be the future.

Excelsior! The best all in one DIY tutorial! The way you explained everything sounded like I'm in a training class, also the idea of breaking the whole concept into parts to add more focus was a good idea. I am installing this split heat pump in a couple months and I am doing all my research to get prepared. You made it so easy... Thank you.

I installed the 4 head unit in my house I have a crawlspace so I cut the Sheetrock out to install the line sets it was alittle more work but still rather simple and because I have a crawlspace I left the coiled up lines underneath the house and just uncoiled what I needed to exit the foundation, all and all alittle time consuming but pretty simple it’s been about 3 and a half years and still working great, it takes a little time to clean the units one a year 😮
