Thanks for uploading. The demo is on pine though. I wonder how it performs on fresh wood and harder woods like oak and acacia. I am tempted to invest more and get the more powerful one.

It is amazing the power difference of today compared what was considered decent 2 years ago. Also, rpm means nothing. Power is a function of rpm and torque.

Looks like a nice tool, the one major drawback would be the impossibility to attach a dust extraction hose, that would be a bit of a game killer for me ...

Nice man, I'm looking into getting one of these. Would you say it has the capability of leaving a joint ready surface? I'm planning on building a jig to use it as a small jointer but I'm not sure if the surface will be clean enough, I've seen some closeups from other planers and they leave some visible tool marks that would probably mean gaps between two surfaces.
