Using an Android Tablet to Read eBooks

You can use your Android tablet to read EPUB and MOBI eBooks. The recommended apps are Mantano Reader for EPUB and Kindle for Android for MOBI eBooks. Moon+ may be okay too, but it is not as good as Mantano. FB Reader is not recommended.

"PocketBook Reader" is my go-to. I haven't found anything it won't render yet (unlike Moon+, does not even register Non-Breaking Space). The detractor is, I've yet to figure out a means to use non-embedded fonts with it (so I use an SD card to store my library), and there's substantially less customization options (e.g. you get only one user-defined 'theme'). But rendering content properly is of course more important.

Why do you not recommend FB Reader? This is what I am using on my Nexus 7, and I'm really comfortable with it. I am planning on getting a Samsung Galaxy A Tab 8.0, and I wanted to make sure I could still read ebooks with it.

I am trying to transfer MOBI books from my windows hp laptop to my Samsung Galaxy Tablet on the SD card. I have no idea how to do this and have no idea where to start to help myself even with this video. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
