Excellent, Thank You very much. The Sombrero Galaxy was already my favorite galaxy, but yerterday it became also the first object besides the moon that I have seen with my own telescope. Fantastic, I love any information about M104. In my opinion M104 must be the best known galaxy. I know most would say it would be M51, However, Not every one can see it.

So, is M104 a non-barred spiral galaxy, as suggested by the wikipedia article, or is it a ring galaxy like Hoag's Object? Looking at the picture of M104 in infrared, I think it's the latter.
