Thank you for wearing the Sombrero Galaxy on your head for a moment.

Seeing M104 in this new way from JWST actually made me teary-eyed. <3 I used to read about the plans for the exo-observatory on NASA's website when I was so little, had a binder and all- I would print off different articles about when it was going to be built, the next STS mission, etc. (Sorry Mom, for using all that printer ink.) All the while, questioning what the Sombrero Galaxy would look like from a top view like we have of Whirlpool. I truly never anticipated just how amazing the JWST would be. Now to see it this way is just mind-boggling! I'm very thankful for pretty pictures of the Cosmos <3 and for this video, thank you for sharing. <3

P.S. who else remembers the beautiful pictures of nebulae and galaxies, etc. within fake port holes in the queue for Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom, Disney World, Orlando? Those little port holes were my some of my first exposure to the Cosmos, and I wonder if anyone else instantly became an astronomy- obsessed kid because of the same thing.

Added info : That Super Massive Black is currently "Actively Feeding". (Pulling stuff in) Where our Milky 's Black hole is currently "Quiescent". (Not eating or pulling in stuff.) They can fluctuate on and off over time.

Some people say this is a waste of money. I respectfully disagree.

I've observed M104 for decades and have imaged it with film & CCD. It's one of my favorites but I've never seen like this and your explanation is superb! Well done!
