I feel so bad for the daughter. She's been manipulated by her mother and can't even see that the behaviour, the living conditions are so wrong.

Like a true narcissist, this woman definitely tried this man out long before she started hoarding to see if he would be passive and comply. She is pathological, and has trained the daughter to be against him, and her defender, and future enabler.

Laura said "it was supposed to be all about me." That's it in a nutshell

"This was supposed to be all about me!" She's articulating what the hoarders all live, but don't usually articulate. It is all about them and they don't care about their impact to anyone else

As painful as it is, I'm glad he stood up for himself. He made her clean HER mess, and kicked her out of HIS house. He's kind enough to help her transition by giving her time and money, and allowing the daughter to stay. He's a good man.

The daughter seems so much younger than 14, living in an abusive and neglectful situation has clearly effected her, I hope she's living with her dad in a normal home now and able to develop in a healthy way

She was emotionless when John kicked her out. Two things I remembered her saying during this intervention was "This was supposed to be about ME!" and "you don't care about me". Glad the girl got away from her.

John is a good man. He tried. He even went into the garage. He brought in specialists. He apologised to his daughter. He tried everything to prevent an ending of the relationship.

In general, I think it’s one thing to be a hoarder, but to bring kids into that situation is down right child abuse. It always frustrates me how the parents never fully understand the neglect they are giving to their kids.

Laura calls John controlling but it's actually her doing the controlling. She's also using their daughter as a wedge and finally John sees through her BS. If he was the type of man she claims he is, he would never have accepted living in the garage on a couch. This was eye opening.

Jon's a good man. I hope he and his daughter will be okay. I have nothing good to say about Laura and how selfish she is. She's not only a hoarder but a narcissist.

I'm glad he kicked her out finally... She chose her stuff over him and the family. the look on her face was priceless. She deserves what she gets.

Angelina seems to between 8-10 years old emotionally.. sad for her.
