My issue with The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Here's my issue with The Super Mario Bros. Movie, why critical reception hasn't been great, how and why it's similar to Into The Spider-Verse, and why I think the critics have a point.

This is a very fair argument, but I do think a lot of critics weren’t going to like it no matter what. A lot of critics gave unfair and inapplicable criticism towards the movie. I honestly think it just wasn’t a movie for critics. Spiderverse is a great movie, but it definitely was a movie for critics as well. It ticked all of their boxes. Also, if the movie was only good on a technical level, I don’t think the audience score would be as high as it is. Personally, I don’t care about the critic score. They are often out of touch and are pretty unneeded in today’s online landscape.

I can somewhat agree but also disagree. I don't think it a great idea to pander to people who isn't even a fan of the thing that's being publish but i also agree that they should try their best in the things on what their doing. But i couldn't say i would change anything of what the movie did and the ideas they had

Taking risks can lead to something worse though. The movie is a kids movie and for Mario fans, and it’s good they keep it that way. The uncharted movie tried to do something different and kinda failed

No, i disagree the critics bash on the Mario Movie for having a basic plot, Mario’s had a basic plot for 35 yrs what do yall expect? And if u say its just for Mario fans, boy are u wrong. I have several friends who arent Mario fans that watched it and absolutely enjoyed it. Critics were expecting something mind blowing due to the masterpiece Puss in Boots the Last wish, but this is Mario, and u cant have a Mario Movie without a Mario like plot.

Also I gurantee you the spiderman movie won over critics because the main protag is black lawl. Most of the crappy things that’s woke or woke related will always win over the critics. And this is coming from the guy who loved into the spider verse. And if you don’t believe me then why do video games constantly criticize against politics being in games but then put a Black Lives Matter mission in spiderman game
