Incase anyone was wondering, none of them were in prison for killing people, and two of them only robbed businesses that were closed to avoid hurting people, so you can root for them.

Edit: They were all in prison for burglary and were in Alcatraz because, get this, they escaped from their previous prisons.

for those who dont know, they were supposed to be 4 people escaping but 1 of them failed and they escaped as 3 people. people say that they maybe "fell off" that boat and they had to swim all of it, but 2 of the prisoners were brothers, brothers who have a really good history with swimming, so despite the freezing water they swam to the land. of course, 1 of them died but the brothers were not found to this day. on the boat were personal stuff that belongs to the brothers. so the most commom theory is that the brothers lived a normal life as normal people after they escaped and maybe died of old age because it was so long ago.
