Something that everyone needs, H2O! Joel, I'm pretty sure it's oxygen that trees create not water 😂😂

Umm Joel. Trees don’t produce H2O. They produce normal O2.

This was soooo helpful for me bc I'm not good at building houses

I usually build a square, then add bits off, and occasionally change one of the corners to a rounded corner. This is a good tactic for beach houses.
I also use stained glass.
The detailing tip was really helpful! You can even put stairs in the walls, so it looks like there are missing bricks. This is best for older looking builds though!
I have also put fences all the way to the floor from the stairs, especially if you have a room behind the stairs. It can craft a door like effect, but leave a space between it and the wall

Joel, if you get fence and slabs you can make really simple and cute spiral staircases that only take up 9 blocks, 3 x 3, thats what I do at least
