For those who want to shoot quicker, and not bring a tripod, there are two awesome, simpler stabilization tools: One is the Monopod. A tripod with only one leg, it allows you to drop the weight of the camera to the Earth, not your arm, and does 90% of the job of a tripod with almost no setup. Five or six section monopods easily fit into a bag, too.
The other way is really good if you shoot randomly, whenever you find an interesting subject. Just get a piece of paracord or strong string of any kind, and a large washer, or any small, but heavy object or bauble, and any attachment that fits in the tripod screw of your camera. You want a string that goes from eye height to the floor, with a heavy bauble on one side, and attached to your camera on top. When you want to stabilize your shot, drop the string to the floor, step on it, and PULL upwards on your camera as you hit the shutter. It's the opposite of the tripod, in that your tension is upward, rather than downward, but it works, and your stabilization tool weighs only a few ounces and fits in your pocket or camera bag or whatever you are carrying, it's ALWAYS there for you.

If you're shooting landscapes, then shoot near sunset or sunrise. Shooting middle of the day is a great way to come back home with ugly photos. Also, use a tripod if light is dim enough to force you shoot at ISO800 or above. Don't care what camera you shoot with, high ISO will ruin any landscape photo real fast. Get a nice low ISO 100 with a tripod, set proper aperture, and shutter speed as low as you have to, then get a nice, crisp, clean photo in return.

nice video! Just a suggestion for a mirrorless camera, when you change a lens, turn the camera to the down, not upper!

Good tips. These days I've been focusing on slowing down and getting the composition right.

Good tips and reminders. I am bringing my EOS M6ii with me as much as i can. I've missed too many shots in the past couple of months.

Hello there..
I have a 2 questions
1 is why did you increase the iso instead you have a options of slowing down the Sutter speed i know it's your style but i wanna know..
2nd one is the photo is sharp by using the lowest aperture like 2.8 in astro photography ...?
cause i have learnt that in the far distance having low aperture wouldn't give us a sharp photos ..

Got my first real camera in Nov last year. Sony a6100. Just recently got my first lens for it (other than kit lens). Sigma 16mm f1.4. Cannot wait to get out and shoot some outdoor summer photos. Got a lot of practice during the winter at Kings Island winterfest and taking a million pictures of my cats. Really got to understand my settings and what they do.

what lens are you using on this video?

"Analyze your old photos" This is ~huge~ for facilitating growth! With all that massively-featured modern cameras will do and what editing software will do, it can make a person lazy - analyze your shots and strive for editing because you want to, not because you ~have~ to!

How about adding the links to the products she is using while filming the tutorials ?

Oh! shoot raw images! If I shot in the raw I'd get arrested! 🙂 Well, so much for the humor. This is a good beginners' video.
