It's technically an extended scene, but yeah I really love it and it's just more of Palpatine manipulating and stoking Anakin's doubts towards the jedi.

To any normal thinking person this should’ve sent alarm bells… the way he coerces his trust in the council, it’s so obvious what he’s trying to do. Sidious had too many idiots around him for his plans to fail. The way he told the separatists at the end “I’m sending my apprentice. He will take good care of you.”….after the death of Dooku and Grievous… staying meant a guaranteed death sentence. The only one with half a brain was Viceroy when he told Grievous about the BS “you will be safe” on Mustafar.

After Dooku failed to win over Obi Won in Ep. 2….he was insane to stick around with Sidious and make plans with him to “kindnap” the chancellor, that Sidious would have his back if he started to lose in the duel with Obi Won and Anakin.

I LOVE these scenes with Anakin and Palpatine. But of the many criticisms I have of the prequels, is that these kind of conversations between them should have been happening since The Phantom Menace and throughout the Clone Wars, and, unfortunately, Lucas only really brought them together for the last film. I wish he had worked harder to put them together sooner and, of course, I wish that Revenge of the Sith had at least one extended scene of Vader as Darth Vader in his suit hunting down the Jedi...the only hinted at temple scene was too short. The best part of the last film was only really the second half and it could have been about half-an-hour longer to give Darth Vader his due (also, no scene showing how he got the red

Wow, some folks in the comment section have really drunken the pro-Jedi propaganda kool-aid. In time, they'll wake up just like so many others have before them and realize that the Jedi and Rebels are not "the good guys". xD
