Wizard101: What School Should YOU Play?! (School Ranking)

I hope you all enjoyed my video ranking the schools in Wizard101! Fire is my favorite school but unfortunately it is not the best in the game. Overall though the top 4 are very similar in terms of power (in PvE) so Fire is still pretty good. Balance and Ice are still by far the worst schools in the game but they’re in a much better spot than they were at before. What school do you plan on making next?

Tags: This is a video discussing all of the schools in Wizard101 and ranking them in 2024. W101. Wiz. Khrysalis is a world that you do after Azteca and before the Polaris questline. Wizard101 has many different worlds including: Wizard City, Krokotopia, Mooshu, Dragonspyre, Grizzlehiem, Wintertusk, Celestia, Zafaria, Avalon, Wysteria, Azteca, Khrysalis, Polaris, Mirage, Empyrea, Karamelle, Lemuria, Novus, and Wallaru. I just did Khrysalis on my Balance character in Wizard101. I've done this world on the Myth School, Death School, Storm School, Life school and Fire School so far (Not Ice School yet though) in Wizad101. All of these schools are relevant to the game, to complete the game on any of them you may need the Zeus gearset, Waterworks gearset and later Darkmoor geqarset which is similar to the Merciless gearset, the Aeon gearset, the Hades gearset, and the Nightmare Dungeon gearset also known as Dream Reaver gear.

I started as a Balance mage when i was a kid, and it was a pain. Started playing again as an adult and I finally figured it out

Ice was absolute torture up until level 100, after darkmoor gear it was some of the most fun I’ve had in this game, you’re pretty much invincible with how tanky you are. I’ve had moments where I’ve had to afk in a solo boss fight to like go to the bathroom or get groceries from the car and I come back and I’ve barely lost any health 😂. I think max ice’s command a lot of respect considering how much of a grind it is to get there and having 15k health + 70 resist is always fun

God, life has come so far. I remember the PAIN of life soloing up through Old Azteca, which ice was better back then imo compared to old life. Also love how Myth has become the epitome of, "be careful who you call ugly in middle school". The free golem minion is honestly goated at lower levels to generate free pips and possibly one shot certain mobs while you hit with a troll or cyclops. Rare Moments like that nade myth temporarily the fastest clear school with the right luck, but alas nothing lasts forever. :( sadge they become so useless shortly afterwards. Also the stuns were super cool, but dang all those stun immune bosses

Myth is my favorite school because its so unique with its theming and magic type. Its so uniquely wizard101.

Storm is soooo overrated by the community it`s not even funny. It`s legit one of the worst schools in the game. Possibly worst pvp and 2nd worst to solo with. The damage in PvE is lowkey overkill, maybe good for azteca/khrysalis. Storm is very good in a team, the hitter of the team, but teamups are genuienly the only situation in which storm is a good school.

My current maxes are Death and Fire. I’m currently working on Life, who is in Novus, and my other four Wizards are in Polaris. Once I beat the game as Life, I will move on to Myth, which I am incredibly excited for!

i love balance honestly. when i got back into the game i played my death to 95, but i made a balance as it always conceptually interested me. it's fun, but it wasn't always the best, but eventually as i got the hang of things and got back into the game, i found my balance surpassing my death bc i found the simplicity of death just so much less fun and interesting. my balance is now 123 and it is easily my favorite just for how unique it is mechanically and aesthetically

Love playing as storm/death. We can use crow now and honestly it feels op.

Storm if you like going really fast
Fire if you like going fast, but not dying as often
Ice if you want a challenge and/or hate yourself
Balance if you have a consistent team
Myth if you want some utility in pair with damage
Life if you want to lean towards support with some damage potential
Death if you want a bit of everything and maintain ok damage

It would be neat if balance worked kind of like how normal type pokemon do, where they only deal normal damage to every school, while also not being weak to any school (I know normal type pokemon are weak to fighting but I digress)

At least so balance wizards don't have to scream in pain whenever a balance boss shows up lol

I want elden ring difficulty wizard101 where you surpass people who are stuck on boss fights constantly.

can say I'm quite loyal to ice school with my 2 highest level wizards being it. 1 solo and 1 running with a friend. Fun to play with long, drawn out fights and has most of my favorite spell animations. And the high resist is always great. Do wish it could be a bit better at times (especially with stun being so useless on soo many bosses) but it is what it is. Now trying a balance and eventually a life so I guess I'll see how that goes

Azteca and above storm gets tapped on the first round by every boss before even getting the chance to do anything 😂

you also forgot the off school hits spectral, tribunal, hydra, chimera, scales of destiny, nested fury and nested fury, and rainbow serpent which does storm damage also balance can use all blades and balance can dual school

I really like the Life school, the healing that it provides is quite nice. :)

I also have a Balance wiz. I know that Balance isn't that great, but I always enjoyed playing as things that anyone rarely uses, makes me feel a bit unique. 😛

The reason for that is cause of the gear being difficult nowadays life can hit for 30k easily
