If it was leather, I’d buy it, as long as it doesn’t have fake markings. I own high end bags but am now looking at more reasonably priced, well made bags. Songmont is my new favourite and I can have one in every colour if I choose.

I bought one of the fake ones off their website. It’s actual leather and a super solid bag for the $100 I paid. No fake H branding or anything. Never seen one in store, but I don’t really shop there. Looks like someone bought one and returned it, which is how it ended up in store.

A lot of high end luxury houses take what local artisans have been making for centuries make and make it their own. Take the domed shape bags for instance. They have been made by small artisans for centuries. Hermes slaps their logo on it then calls it a bolide. All of a sudden it’s been part of their long prestigious heritage. LV also makes these same domed shaped bags and calls them the Alma. They also claim it’s been part of their LV heritage forever. Why don’t LV and Hermes sue each other for these domed shaped bags if this ain’t a game? They always trying to pull the wool over the eyes of small businesses. Even for a Kelly bag. When Hermes first started making them, they were briefcases. All of a sudden, they have this wonderful trapezoid shape out of nowhere and rename the sac a depeche briefcase to Kelly. I call BS. Artisans make it and they latch on and start claiming copyright cos they got the money to claim copyright. It’s ridiculous.

As an owner of 2 real Birkin bags purchased in 2003, I purchased an all leather Kelly Green and Black B’in style bags from the Walmart website-no marking or logos- but an all leather bag very nice for every day use. I’m not trying to fool anyone but I do like the look and functionality of the bag. It’s not fake it’s a real leather bag that is a nice style.

I like that goldenrod yellow color. It's like a smooth, happy bumblebee yellow. Canary yellow imo would be a lighter colder yellow. Let people have their fun. Especially let Black women have their fun. (Although Walmart isn't a great company, ending their DEI initiatives to save money and all... Hermes getting got by wallys is humorous to me.) We in America are about to be living under project 2025 chritofascist corporatist stupidity and high tarriff hell. Let people live and have their fun before it all goes to shit. But honestly I just don’t get the appeal alll that money for a leather bag it’s outrageous. And I don’t beg not for a bag not for anything really it’s just not my style.
