There are many high quality bags produced in my country, Romania, which can definitely be a great competitor to Birkin, Louis Vuitton, etc. These are made out of real leather and, sometimes, in small shops, with great care. I appreciate them a lot more than any so-called luxury brand. Especially that some - like Louis Vuitton - started a long time ago to sell plastic bags as "luxury goods".

Thank you for sharing. I’ve always loved the geometric shape of the Birkin Bag and even if I was a millionaire, I would never buy one. There are too many starving, mistreated and misplaced animals that could benefit from the price of a Birkin. 🐈‍⬛🐕‍🦺♥️

Fyi, you can buy the Kelly and Birkin design bags from Europe and China for many years now. The designs are not patented there, anyone can make a bag with those designs. Often, the "leather" is only top layer glued onto microfibre material. You can often smell the glue too. The stitching are like what you see on the corner of this bag. Still a nice looking bag anyway.
