I can’t live without youtube. You and the other content creators who produce quality videos that inspire and make crochet accessible to everyone who wants to learn how to crochet. Thank you 🧶💖

My must-have are the zippered plastic bags that sheets and comforters come in. I've struggled with moths off and on for years, so my yarn lives in space bags most of the time, but the zippered bags are great as project bags.

One of my favorite crochet must haves is videos like yours! I have crocheted since the 1970s when I was a teenager and in the past several years wonderful tutorials have made me realize that I can make lots of different things that I really had never considered. I like all the new techniques to make the crochet pieces even look nicer. I never thought that I could create my own patterns, but I’ve realized I can, even though I don’t have any for sale. I have a YouTube channel and I’m on TikTok to share things that I am making and share patterns that I have found by other creators. I can tell by your videos that you like to share, too! Thank you again for all the hard work you put in these videos! 🥰

For me it's a yarn ring. I got one custom made to my size when I returned to crochet after several years away, and was having trouble with maintaining tension creating my first garment. It definitely helped prevent hand pain as I developed my personal tension. I still think it's good for my hands and tension, but also I'm so used to it, it just feels weird when I don't use it. The other must-have is my mom, and her decades of experience. I actually didn't learn from her, I was mostly self taught while living away. But when I got stuck and had questions, she was my resource! We do different types of projects, I prefer garments and accessories and she does blankets mostly, but we always bounce ideas off each other and give me suggestions. Having a crochet buddy is amazing and priceless when it's mom!

I can't live without YouTube. I have found so many great channels here. I also can't live without a good pair of snips. Using a large pair of scissors is such a pain so my snips and my pendant yarn cutter are a must.

I enjoy audiobooks when crocheting or knitting. I bought a small OTT light years ago. This task light is great for me ( to prevent eye fatigue) 😊

Can not live without rubber tipped Bobbypins that I use as stitch markers. They never fall out and use with one hand 👍👍

Please share any info about the hand massage you decide on. I didn't even know there was such a thing. I could so use this. Thank you for making this list. Love the tulip story.

New subscriber... your voice is like a soothing balm and your videos are so informative.

Just got back into crocheting after a 20+year hiatus and amazed at all the new gadgets/tools to try. And no YouTube videos like yours to help us. I have already purchased so muchI love my Susan Bates finger row counter, Loop and Thread stitch markers that you mentioned, my tiny silicone yarn snippers with attached point cover (saw comment here about pendant snippers and now am going to put them on cord for around neck so always handy), and Clover Amour hooks. and DMC 3 in 1 needle threader for finishing work.

Can't wait to go thru more of your past videos and look forward to future ones!

I was happy to see I have all of the tools you mentioned, including the Mini Cooper! For hand exercise I found a thick balloon filled with sand that I just squeeze in my hand! Mine is called IsoFlex and it cost about $10 and has been a life saver!

I agree with many others and Youtube is essential. That's how we all found you and all the help you give❤ I have found the confidence to do so much thanks to Youtube. Just ordering my first clover hooks, because I wanted to make sure I was going to stick with this art and almost three years in😂 I really like size three yarn, speciffically Premier anti pilling. BUT I have so many yarns in my closet that I haven't even had the chance to work with🎉 I just ordered my first bougie yarn that is fingering weight. I hope it's worth it😊

For the blocking- I never thought of using those mats! You might want to consider when you're checking prices to compare prices with exercise floor mats as well. They have exercise floor mats that come in squares like that and you might be able to get those on sale or cheaper just because they're plain and they don't have fancy little letters on them and such.

I have a large round wooden salad bowl that holds my tapestry needles, a few stitch markers, tape measure, scissors, and holds the ball of yarn I'm using (or balls). I had holes drilled in side to run yarn through if I'm using more than one strand of yarn at a time. These bowls can easily be found at thrift stores. I've always wound my yarn into balls (?) and wrap a rubber band around them to keep from unraveling.

I didn't even know there was such a thing as a hand massager. I certainly can follow along on the tulip theory. 💖 My daily go-to are my rubber tipped bobbypins as markers. I've been using them for years. A few are slid on my kitchen placemat so I can easily find one. I do all my work at my kitchen table. I had a friend ask me the other day, "Why do you have bobbypins attached to your placemat?" She thought it a was a great idea too!!

Oh yeah, I like the idea of the interlocking foam blocks for blocking projects.

Just like you, I could not crochet without my tulips or clover hooks. The one investment that I have never regretted is the Stanwood ball winder. I hate rolling yarn into balls. I love that I can cake up a troublesome skein or a hank in a couple of minutes.
