Tupai Kar brings to you duck biryani recipe from Jharkhand. This recipe takes approximately one hour to cook but it is totally worth the time and effort.

Ingredients required for this recipe are duck meat, basmati rice, meat masala, mustard or refined oil. We also need to make masala paste by grinding garlic, green chillies, cumin seeds, cinnamon powder, cardamom, cashews and cloves.

Follow the steps-
1) Heat the oil and fry cashews and basmati rice.
2) Add water and bring it to a boil.
2) Meanwhile heat oil in a different pan and add chopped onions to it. Once the onions changes colour, put washed duck meat in it.
3) Once the meat changes its colour, mix it with the boiled basmati rice.
4) Add the masala paste to the pan.
5) Add turmeric and salt as per taste preference.
6) Cover the pan with a lid. Keep checking after every 5-7 minutes and mix well.

Duck meat will be ready in about 45-60 minutes.
