At every stage of this project - from the early efforts to get rid of the debris, uprooting invading trees, re establishing stone archways, putting in the steels and the joists, knocking out crumbly brick and stonework and rebuilding, cutting and re tin the roof timbers, cladding the structures in horrendous conditions - at every stage I’ve been in awe of the industry, creativity and determination of you little band of warriors. There aren’t enough superlatives to convey my admiration and respect. Unbelievable!

He screams, almost loses control of the car and comes to a halt right in front of a house wall. Absolute silence, both are shocked. Then the driver says: ‘Sorry. This is my first day as a taxi driver. I drove a hearse for 20 years. 😁

Having watched this video again this morning. My comment yesterday did not do Dan justice. This man set out on his own to restore the chateau. What balls. Then he had friends like Calvin who jumped in the car and drove to the chateau. But after Dan, we must be in awe of Nic who as an arborist came to advise Dan on the ground work, and never left. Teaching Dan to work aloft in the process. Just incredible guys.
