Oh yes, I relate to this one. I Google everything from the different ways people can die in car crashes, to every aspect of drug addiction, and so many other dark topics. I'm surprised the authorities aren't investigating us, or maybe they are...! I am so glad that You Tube allow you to have playlists set to private - enough said...! 😃

So, Ive always wondered if there was a website where writers could go and talk to other writers about certain subjects like these. Sometimes its hard to get very specific info. I usually resort to copying what another book or movie did in a specific situation. (Like how they broke in the bank or how they escaped from prison).

It would be great if there was a website that archived different authors' ideas and their research.

I try not to look at my search history....I start to think there's something very wrong with me if I ever look at it. lol Writers' search histories can truly be disturbing. :)

When I was writing F-6, I looked up nuclear bombs. I chose the "Peace Maker" because it was the biggest horse in the barn.

The truth about being a writer, it isn't as romantic as people think.

Um...it's advised that you DON'T look up instructions on how to make a bomb.

Some of the things I've found myself researching for my novel are the following. Different poisons, what they do, and where they grow. What kinds of wounds need stitches, how soon a wound can get infected, and how fast adrenaline kicks in after wounded.

I was writing a zombieish end-of-the-world story and I had decided it was a mutated rabies virus. So I googled all about rabies and mutated forms, then all sorts of summits that lots of world leaders go to, then how to sneak in, then how to infect many people and if infecting world leaders would be effective as a first step 😂

Needless to say, I'm impressed no one started knocking down my door.
