U honestly made the solution too complicated, u could've just said use the change of bases formula and turn the equation into a quadratic, then solve the quadratic. OR turn both sides into fractions and cross multiply, u get the same solutions

log x = +- log 4 = log 4, log (1/4)
x = 4, 1/4
