I asked this very question of the Elon\trump FUD when the idea was introduced in a meme. I didn’t get an answer either. It was a rumor that was started and repeated without fact checking or questioning. Our news has become speculation and entertainment for viewers and cash.

Just been on the tesla train yesterday, while a 970km roadtrip to giga Berlin. Walked from giga to trainstation Erkner (about 8km) and got back in electric train, not spending a cent, cause tesla pays the train. (Also paying the electricity at the wallbox, where my m3 was charging.)

I'm aware of a Ford dealership that bought someone's Cybertruck for about $120k (netting some profit for the original owner), with the dealer then selling the truck of their lot for $130k or $140k, I don't recall which. Quite possible it is a similar situation for the one mentioned in the vid.
