Thank you for this. I’m sure room stewards make less but I always give my steward cash at the start and end of my cruise in addition to the daily incentive. Everyone of the the crew works so hard, I just want to show how appreciative I am.

That is a nice amount of money from Youtube as well. Now I understand how many youtubers can handle either visiting cruises nonstop for reviews, or going to amusement parks almost daily.

Sadly I was finally refused on my medical to work in a ship. So no adventure for me. In the other hand, I can still enjoy your videos to see the background and information on whats like working there.

Thank you for posting this. I think many passengers need to see this and get an idea of the salary you are making, I honestly thought it was higher for positions such as yours. I am always a good tipper on top of regular gratuities, and now feel badly for those I am unable to hand an extra tip to. You all work so very hard! It also was an eye opening experience to know what vloggers are making off of ad traffic too!

Chris, can you please do a video explaining the mechanics of automated gratuities and tips you recieve in cash? There's lots of confusuion over whether crew are allowed to keep cash tips and youre so good at explaining and communicating.

Thanks Chris for this video. I used to work in Luxury Cruise for 2.5 years, around 20 years ago. I miss it sometimes. I have relatives and friends working in Cruise (Passenger and Cargo). My hope is for the pandemic to be over.
