It's always interesting to me how different this is by state. Someone can be making $20 an hour in one place and feel strapped for money but in another be living comfortably

Before watching I’m gonna say CA needs a solid 90-120k

Here's something to also keep in mind for those who plan on living in NYC. NYC has an unspoken rule known as the 40x rule when it comes to renting apartments. What this means is that you are required to make 40x whatever the rent is for where you want to rent. The avg price for a 1 bedroom apartment here is $1.8k(Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Staten Island) and $3k(Manhattan) which means you or you and your partner combined would have to make at least 72k/120k which gets you a shoe box apartment with rats and roaches as your neighbors. So it's not recommended to move over here unless you make at least $70k/yr or if you plan to stay with others.

Virginia or North Carolina would be the best states for my liking. Good cost of living, good weather, and good education.

For Hawaii, it's not just that food needs to be shipped in, but also that the Jones Act makes shipping inside of the USA unbelievably expensive!

I just looked up my state, Ohio, and I am happy to know. I can have a stain a decent income while living comfortably down the line.

Please make a video on pursuing second bachelors or changing career path.

You should do a video on cities, since the states cost is an average of the cities, which vary greatly due to various things.

Super informative video! It's interesting to see how the cost of living varies through each state, seeing how I live in a US territory.

As for New York, our numbers are probably inflated because of NYC. Upstate/Central New York isn't nearly as expensive and we pay less in taxes than our NYC counterparts.

2:22 loool so true! I’m a senior in high school and live there and am doing everything I can in school right now to justify going to college out of state on scholarships. In state school is obviously insanely cheap but the biggest “cities” have 25, 000 people and there’s hardly anything to do there

Can you do a video about the best place to live considering total tax burden, cost of living and wages all calculated together in a metric or something. Would be interesting imo.

Not in the cities in TN. Chattanooga has a 10% sales tax.

I live in Mill Valley, California and unfortunately, the average house price here is $1.7 million. So after I graduate, I'll have to move away from my parents cuz I won't make enough money to afford a $1.7mil house

Maybe you've already done this but a video on being a prosthetist/orthotist would be great! The profession doesn't receive much attention!

can you make a video about getting a second bachelor's degree after you graduated college? It is an interesting thing as a friend of mine graduated with a sociology degree and he wants to go back to college to get a second bachelor's degree in a different field but doesn't know what major to choose

The beginning is the most interesting for me as a viewer

The CA state income tax (along with most others I presume) is in brackets where it’s higher you are taxed more. Nobody except millionaires are taxed at 13.3%, that’s the highest. Most are a lot lower like 6%. Really surprised you didn’t mention that at all.
