OMG "RUn Away with me girl" sounds like the most frustrating read, I know I would not enjoy this one either! UGH also "Sorry, bro" another one I KNOW would make me SO mad reading like WHAT is with these romances sounding so toxic but also ending happily ever after?!! "AGAINNN Twisted Love also sounds so toxic but is pitched as romance like publishers can we please get some romances that are actually cute and wholesome and not filled with every red flag?!

You are so sweet to your audience while roasting these 😂 I only read one (I guess technically two) books on this list— Black Sheep and Mister Magic (DNFed it at the 20% mark).

Such a great point about Black Sheep— there was no reason to be jealous of your bestie cousin. Especially since Vesper left of her own accord in the first place. To me, the book wasn’t awful just lackluster. I don’t have any real issues with religion or fam so it didn’t hit as hard as her other books have mostly done for me. That’s why I love The Return so much, for its discourse on the challenges of female friendship as we age!
