I know hairworks is intended for game engine, but is there a workflow that could work out for video production?

Okay for the love of god I figured out the error. He does not explain it properly. If you are receiving the message "X out of Y strands of hair share blah blah" here is what you need to do.... After you have created the splines by doing Convert guides to curves, you then need to disable the Hair and Fur (WSM) modifier by turning off the lightbulb. Otherwise, it thinks that there are two strands of hair in the same place and will not export any of them. Took me ages to figure this out!

I tried to export my hair from both Maya and Max, but when I try to open the .apx file in the viewer, I get a "File open error" message. Is there a forum or a support email to refer to?

SO I get the error: fur strands share mesh vertices. I know it select them, but when I delete them, it deletes half of my spline mesh, which I don't want. Is there a way to fix this?

WHen i create the hair and export the model and the hairworks .apx (the guides), i tried to import file in the asset selection, but it is not possible, how do you creat the hair?

What is the export part about?  O_o  Hairworks is already apart of 3DS-Max as a Plug-In. So why do we export?

Here's the whole process written out (I think) :
Set Max to centimeters. (When you save it should show 'default' as centimeters or it's not correct.)
Import Model
Create two bones for the model if your model is not already rigged.
Create a skin modifier + attach the bones
Create a hair/fur modifier on the model
Convert guides to splines
DISABLE THE HAIR/FUR MODIFIER NOW or you will have problems of "X out of Y strands of hair share" and hairs will vanish.
Create hairworks on model + assign the spline guides
Export (all) as FBX (default should be centimeters)
Export (all) as APX (default should be 1cm)
Load in Nvidia Hairworks Viewer that comes with the hairworks plugin to test that it is working.

so does thgat mean if i love production and film vfx pipeline and interested less in game pipeline then i never ever need Physicx Nvidia and its Hairworks for my Max 2018 right MassFx is enough ??

9oh crap wow its mean after watch this video its mean Hairworks not a individual plugin in max like other its need max hairs fur to create hairs then its only animate it its mean this is just a side line option in max without max hair we can't use nvidia hairworks ??
