Let this sink in, he got shipwrecked pretty much in an entirely different sea and swam all the way to amazon lily with nothing else but the clothes on himself in the calm belt full of sea kings and had nothing but his fists and a sword which compared to the size the sea king it might as well be a pocket knife and mind you hes underwater killing the sea king with his strength halved due to fatigue of swimming and that your much slower fighting and physically weaker from the water pressure restricting your movements. I love the look on Law's face when Rayleigh emerges from the water. He's shitting bricks but is doing the best he can to hide it... and it isn't working.
Great moment. It is quite rare to have a character that is a sneak-peak at endgame scaling be handled well. Ray is such an delightful character in every way. Confident, not cocky, and wise. He's fully aware that he can deal with any and all threats around him, so he's just jovial about it. He knows his time is over and is eager to pass the torch to Luffy, as Luffy kindles his heart in the exact same way Roger did. It's great stuff.
