Preparing for your DOT/CDL Medical Exam (2020)

This video prepares the CMV driver for the CDL/DOT Medical Exam. If you prepare properly and know what to expect you will be more relaxed. In addition you may avoid delays in getting your medical card that occur when you don't have the needed documentation from your physician. The presenter is a certified medical examiner with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

i dont have any problem I'm used to it everytime i check it is high when and when it goes to normal than i feel weird
what should i do im scared i will be disqualified because of blood pressure ☹

Really informative video Dr. Schwartz. I have an umbilical hernia and have been considering surgical repair. In your experience, do you automatically fail someone with an umbilical hernia? And for that matter, do you automatically fail someone who has had corrective surgery for a hernia? I would really appreciate your feedback. Thanks again!

Can you please tell me what requirements is
there for nervous system?! I mean I had a
traumatic brain injury back in 2015 and my
right side of my body was totally paralyzed.
But now I have recovered so well that other
people can barely see there's something
wrong with my fingers.
But I can live a normal life, do almost
everything I used to do and fully independent.
I have been driving my private car for the last
5yrs with zero problem.
And my question is do you think I can pass the
test?
What requirements are there for nervous
system?

What if you have PTSD and the VA has given you prescription for depression, anxiety. You choose not to take the medication do to side effects.
Do you still have to list the medications?

Hello Doctor. I passed mine today in Oklahoma and I’m looking at the Medical Examiner’s Certificate and the bottom right corner it reads “CLP/CDL Applicant/Holder” and it’s marked “No”. did I mess up on the form? Is this gonna prevent me from being able to take my permit? Thanks

As a CME, can you get into the FMCSA database and see who a patient has used for previous tests and when and how many times they've done so? I went to 2 diff examiners in 2 days to see if I could improve my card from 1 year to a 2 year card. It worked. But curious if examiners can see what I did?

I just want to know the chances of having to get the “forced whisper” with hearing aids, will they have to be out or in during the testing? I don’t wanna get disqualified for that being the only reason.

I’m Francisco I have a visual impairment meaning 20/200 left eye, 20/25 right eye (glasses). I never had a CDL before but planning on getting one soon. What do I need to do to get a vision waivers?
