My close friend, a Vietnam war veteran has been through 4 doctors in 5 years and one in particular was downright abusive and the rest very neglectful. Each time he goes in to the hospital for some routine procedure, he almost dies because something goes wrong. The operators have been very impatient and sometimes combative. When he tore his shoulder, it took 6 months to have any imaging because the doctor would look at it and send him home. By then it was too late to have the only procedure to correct it so now he has permanent damage. He is fully disabled yet only gets 40 % disability because each time he tries to find help with an advocate for the process, the places are closed or not answering the phone. The VA even threatened to take away his benefits over an inquiry concerning mental health. He lives in poverty after serving 3 years in Vietnam risking his life and having it ruined because of the horrific memories of people being slaughtered around him and because of agent oranges effects on his health. Arizona doesn't give a crap about our veterans and no one will ever hold the VA accountable because justice doesn't exist in America and this is not land of the free. Our freedom was taken a long time ago.
