I recently went to a big store and then started talking to experienced customers, that is also really great if the salesperson doesn't have time immediately.

Listen to them playing and just ask and see if they are willing to help. In my case it was a great experience and helped a lot. And the customer wasn't set on one brand, he just liked to help. I had read reviews, watched videos and thought I was just going to buy the one I had researched, but I ended up with a totally different one and love practicing on it.

I bought my first guitar when I was 13. Couldn't play a lick but bought another while in my late 20's. Took plenty lessons and was told by my teacher I was getting better every lesson. He was lying and I had to sell the guitar after I got divorced. In my late 50's I thought I'd try again and bought a bunch of guitars. One was a Gibson Dove. Beautiful guitar and exceptional sound but I sold it and paid some back taxes. I wasn't without a six string very long when I bought a beautiful Breedlove. Wonderful guitar but I dropped it a broke some purfling. Went back to my LGS and settled on a Seagull. I like it very much and it is now my keeper. A hint, my local guitar store is very honest and the owner is a great player. If you live in suburban Chicago, Consolidated Music in Barrington is the place if you are looking for honesty and a sweet guitar.

I've never played the guitar before. I need a hobby, and I am constantly playing many forms of music from YouTube, mostly hard rock, metal, and pop. I have a very limited budget, but I know that an acoustic guitar is the perfect hobby for me. I have loved music since grade school, early MTV. I still love classic 80s metal. Do you have a suggestion where I should start with guitars? I guess ones that are good for these genres? Or just follow what you indicated in your podcast? What about the different types of strings? Ty.

Good video! I looked very good. What do you think of Jimmy Hendrix? If you like my guitar and harmonica you will be happy.

When I was in the 4th grade, my father gave me a guitar for Christmas. He bought it from a "hippy" on the street and spray painted it black over the peace symbols and whatever else was there. The action was greater than an eighth of an inch at the nut. I'd like to say that that guitar made me a strong player, but it wasn't a good experience.

Hey I bought your course in udemy and started it today
I have doubts regarding choosing a guitar.
1.Is kadence good
2.which is better a top with cedar or spruce or mahogany (back and sides and neck are mahogany)
This is regarding kadence acoustica vintage series.
Please respond as soon as possible.

I bought a cheap one off eBay for $65. I just needed one to use for learning finger placements. It doesn’t matter about quality just yet.

I have a question, When you buy a guitar can u return it if you don´t like it? Because I´m going to buy a guitar but I need to bring it to my guitar teacher to see if its good, but I only have class on Thursday, its nearly a whole week away.

Does the guitar stay in tune? If you're beginning, that's my number 1 tip. I began with a 100 dollar johnson and it worked out my fingers to make it worth it. Just keep in mind, there is no "pay to win" with guitar

Is it worth it to buy an acoustic guitar for around 400$ even if I'm absolute beginner?

One big problem for me is, I play left handed and I just can’t pick up a guitar, at some price point and play it. I would have to order it, and have it setup and hope it sounds and feels right, for me. Any suggestions for me?? I like, Yamaha, Martin, Taylor, Gibson guitars. Price range would be, five to six hundred. Thanks

I sold my Epiphone and vox for a Martin d15 for my first real instrument, I hope I can use it to justify its price point
