This dish sounds wonderful and it's a perfect dish to exemplify the history of Venice and the Orient. Incidentally, the name of the dish is cassopippa/cassopipa and it is definitely an ancient recipe. However, I would not try to replicate this dish from this short demonstration. There are two parts of the process that are probably shown to make an explanatory point which will probably not work in the real world. First, using some of the spices in their whole state, e. g. nutmeg, wouldn't release much taste, plus it would be very wasteful of such an expensive spice. Second, if you cook shrimp and other delicate seafood for 20 minutes they will be very rubbery. That said, it has introduced me to a uniquely Venetian dish which I will try to make before I return to Venice. Bravo Rick!

I love sea food and fish . I did tuna with baked vegetables today . Its nice to make food as if you have company. And any Venitian or Italian food I am happy with. This is looks yummy. I am going to do this for my friends . Some of my friends dont like sea food or fish . I am going to convert them using this.
