Caught on cam: A boy nearly got injured by dangerous elevator

CCTV footage showed a boy inside a moving elevator, pressing its doors with his foot. Suddenly, the door snapped off, almost injuring the boy. Tests proved that the elevator has no technical problems so the property management is demanding compensation for the damage. But the boy’s parent said that he should be appreciated for finding the elevator's security risks rather than him getting punished.

The parents statement is ridiculous. He won’t learn. Except maybe more entitlement.

I am completely fed up about hearing news companies telling about lies about lifts. The lift is not dangerous at all. But the boy inside the moving elevator is remarkably dumb enough to apply force on the doors while the lift is moving. Performing this serious action will obviously result in the lift doors to be damaged. And even when the lift caused the emergency brake, it's not that the doors tangled the cables or anything. It's a thing called "safety brake, " where the lift runs too fast and then the overspeed governer trips to perform safety brake. I can't believe people are remarkably dumb. Especially CGTN. There is no proper excuse for the people to sue the Chinese lift companies due to low quality. Yes, the lifts are in lousy condition and low quality, basically generic. But doing that action to the elevator is unacceptable, and the parent should be trained about knowledge about lifts.

Poor elevator. I really hope he's alright and can return to his job as soon as possible 🙏

nice clickbait, lift had nothing wrong or unsafe with it, its the boy's fault for pressing on the door with his foot...

“I’m just gonna tell them that my son found a issue with the elevator so I don’t have to pay the money”

Is the elevator okay though? Cuz i feel bad for that broken elevator

It's like dropping a phone to the floor full force and claiming that it's faulty. The parent just doesn't want to pay

The boy pushed the elevator door with his foot and damaged it. The parents claimed he exposed a problem! So if I pushed the parents and they fell, would I have exposed a "security risk"?

Let's just pray for this Elevator's recovery

The issue was that he was pushing the door. This caused it to flex outwards and make contact with the stationary cement shaft.
The door caught, and was ripped off.

The boy's parent really has some nerve. I hate people like him who don't accept responsibility for their actions rater they blame it on others entirely.

Here's what I have to say about this situation: The doors are completely weak because if someone did this in the US they wouldn't break like that. The parents are so dumb, saying they should be appreciated for finding the risk. In my opinion if it's gonna cause damage to something, don't do it. The parents are so freaking stupid, just accept the charge, pay it, and don't do it again.

Can't Even Feel Bad. That Elevator Really Just Gave Him Karma.

Does this mean that if I stand in front of a moving train and it doesn't stop, I will be rewarded for finding safety flaws in the braking system?

The boy needs to learn how to be in a elevator if he doesn't he will be in big dangerous situations

Reguardless of what country you’re in you should never push against the elevator door like that. They arn’t designed to have forward and backward pressure put on them as they are designed to slide open and close left and right they arnt attached to anything like a regular door. Only thing stopping them from popping out when forward or backward pressure is applied is the couple cms of metal on the top and bottom of the door that hold the door in place to allow it to slide.
