Have a 2.7L turbo Sierra 2021 and pulls my 5000lb boat & trailer with ease. Doesn’t feel sluggish at all and gets good mileage. Love it.

This engine was designed for truck use, it’s a 4 cylinder but the pistons are huge, it’s all about low end torque, change the oil early don’t push it beyond it’s limits and it should last a good while.

It’s excellent I’ve had 5.3 since they came out in 99 /01/05/09/13/16/19 just bought A 23 with the turbo 4 couldn’t be more impressed and happy with the performance and mileage

Pulls 8000lbs in the 1/2 ton like its nothing. It does very well actually. 198k miles no issues.

As much as I HATE the idea of a 4 cylinder in a full size truck, I had one as a rental, and it was an outstanding power train. Was really impressed and wouldn't mind driving one every day.

I have owned 5.3 silverados since 2016 . I now have 2022 Silverado 2.7 and has 30, 000 miles on it. It pulls on Travel trailer about 8000 lbs with ease it has been from Ohio to Florida and back . Has plenty of power and excellent fuel mileage no Struggle for power

I have a Silverado 2.7 and I’m very impressed with the towing power!! So far it’s been great but I only tow a side by side wouldn’t tow much more than that with out a 3/4ton !! Great truck very pleased!!

I have a 21 RST, 45, 000 miles, it's been a great truck. I love the turbo sound and it tows well! Good choice considering the v8s are having a ton of problems

2025 GMC Sierra 1500 with the Turbomax. Had it for less than a week and its been a great daily driver so far. Plenty of power and driving it under normal conditions the motor and transmission combo doesn't feel overly strained at all. So far, so good. Should last a while with proper maintenance, and it came with a 100, 000 mile warranty for free. Can't beat that! I'm a Toyota guy, but that brand is losing many of us quickly.

Have had a 2024 GMC Sierra 2.7 for almost 4 months. Love it. Only complaint is junk battery from the factory that made my electrical go crazy.

I own a ‘22 2.7 Chevy Trailboss. I get 21-23 mpg. Pulling a 6x10 enclosed trailer I get between 13.5-15.5 mpg depending on how fast I drive. Really great truck! Great ride and plenty of power for what I use it for. Tons of room inside. 🤘

Grew up with the 5.3s and the 4.3 and 4.8 vortec and of course that’s older stuff but something about the Turbomax feels really good maybe since it’s new and up to date but even when my brother first got his Silverado with the 2.7L not the turbo max but the 2.7L the first version it felt good and ever since I’ve loved my turbomax it does great!

My work truck has a 2.7 and my personal truck has a 5.3. Power difference isn’t noticeable in everyday driving. I like how quiet the 2.7 is but would buy the 5.3 again.

Owned a 2021 Colorado Z71 with 308hp V6. Now have 2024 Colorado Trail Boss with 310hp 2.7 turbomax. Other than the engine sound, the performance is nearly identical.

Id keep it in the midsize trucks I'm sure it'd be fine in a half ton but if I wanted something other than a V8 in a half ton id opt for inline six, 3.0 Duramax
