Making one of these from those synthetic ruby rods they make for lasers would be sick.

Ok, now we are going to do a full depth slotting operation in inconel at 1000 inches per minute.

That's a fantastic way to show off the endmill making process, nothing obscured what the wheels are doing

I’d be interested to see you guys make about 15-20 of these and test them in various soft materials like plastics to see if they cut any better or if there is any good application for it. Most of them will break, almost assuredly. But it would make a fantastic Short.

99% of people cannot comprehend how insane this level of precision in 3d space is. So much respect for these machining wizards!!🧙‍♂️

We have a Walter heltronic at our company but it's being rebuilt our owner bought it as a non running machine and our engineers and machine maintenance guy has been working on getting it running again. The fact that you guys are using these machines gives me high hopes for when it's up and running finally lol💪🏽

When I was in school for machining some of my classmates would break endmills so often you'd think they were made of glass.

This would be sick as a trophy for a machining comp or something

Now I want to see it drill into soft wood. That would be a little bit interesting to see...

Where I used to work, we would prototype specialty tooling using glass rod. It sure is a cool effect.

Excellent Walter helitronic grinding machine. I worked in Ravensburg Germany on one of this machines for over 10 years. Making special end mills with zero tolerance for the aerospace industry.

One of the best gifts I could give to my machinist friend.
