Fuck me, The plot is Stranger is now more articulate than in season one. IT Should be about middle earth, Not a work rehab institute.

Can we just get it out of the way, already? The Stranger is Gandalf before he's call Gandalf.

Hey awesome! Now talk about how you sprayed Tolkien's legacy with feces. 😂

Who cares the important thing nowadays is getting things done right? They are just getting things done

Most of the people complaining about season haven’t read the Silmarillion and the rumors about certain rights not getting written off were blown out way out of proportion. The show cases a lot of canon literature of Tolkien from the second age. Is it just that it’s Amazon and not PJ? That makes sense to me I guess… still people are high to say it’s not well acting, well made, and clearly based on the source material

Bezos bought the appendices to LOTR. The second age - "In Lindon north of the Lune dwelt for a time Celeborn, Kinsman of Thingol, his wife was Galadriel, greatest of Elvan women. She was sister of Finrod Felagund, Friend-of-men, once king of Narothrond, who gave his life to save Beren, son of Barahir." There's season one, along with the establishment of Numenor and the first colonies in middle earth, and a few other plot points of whatever flavor you choose. Rhun? Sure! and if anything, that's the worst part of this, you just used it as a place for the hobbits to go, it has no cultural identity, no imagination, you did nothing with it. Compare Dorne or Bravos. Proto hobbits? Sure, if you must. Gandalf? Tolkien definitely says no but as long as you respect the bones, I guess you could have even done that without much damage. That's season one, because that is the story Bezos bought, and this soap opera involving a friendless young galadriel and a mopey Isildur, conflating 3000 years, has nothing to do with it.

This interview looked painful. On the upside there’s only three more painfully long, long years to go.

The show? Good thing it’s not the actual Lord of the Rings.

Ps: Was thinking about this poop fest until I watched a review which had me laughing so hard I forgot how bad the… the… wait what was I talking about?

This trash series is just a copycat of Lord of the Rings using only its name.

It's fine. I remember Fangorn talking about how the Old Forest used to be much larger and include Fangorn Forest. When Entwives were around. It's probaby out of timeline but it's one of the cherished parts of the LotR ... they're doing all the old myths together and it's fine. It is what it is, like it or leave it if it's not your cup of tea.
