Dude I will forever love the older sound of metalcore(2000-2012) it just idk hit different. I feel like djent has infiltrated modern metalcore a bit too much.

Love both. The newer stuff seems heavier but the older stuff just hit different. It’s probably because it was new back then and now gives a nostalgic feeling.

Metalcore used to be energizing. The line between deathcore and metalcore got blurred real bad somewhere between 2014 and now.

I'm very slowly trying to learn "The Fall of Ideals" and my god is that album a banger. I've liked it every since guitar hero 2 came out and it introduced me to the album, but learning the songs now as an adult I'm realizing how much better they are than I remember. Absolute bangers.
