Ahead of the North Korea summit, Trump boasts that it’s about “attitude” more than "preparation". Trump’s “Art of the Deal” co-author Tony Schwartz joins Ari Melber to discuss how we must move from "hubris to humility" and how Trump is an example of "what not to do".

Attitude and a willingness to get things done. I'm sure Hitler and Stalin thought the same thing.

The "rider and the elephant" is the best metaphor I've heard in a while for my current ability to control my emotions when I hear anything about this administration...

America, your 45th president is no longer a joke. He is destructive.

@msnbc you guys gotta have Tony Swartz on more often and for longer sessions! He provokes a lot of deep, introspective thinking and has substance. You guys always have quick hits with him like he’s just “filler” when you don’t have much else to talk about. WT-Eff!

This will go bad.
Koreans aren't really happy with "attitude" from Americans.

I love that a large group of people said "he's so angry, just like me!" without also asking themselves "wait...but he's gotten everything he ever wanted. What is he so angry about again?" (Hint: the answer is not that he "just loves America THAT much"

When crowds start leaving 45's "rallies" as red hatted brown shirts, the wild elephant will cease to be a metaphor.

Doesn't being prepared and learning about another country's history, culture and beliefs make it more likely that we will "get things done" and get them "done" the way we want them done?

Trump's base are motivated by emotion alone, even when entering into a debate with somebody who disagrees with their orange messiah they will not use facts or logic all their responses are based on emotions only.

Tony Schwartz is being billed as a co-author for Art of the Deal when in fact Mr. Schwartz ghost wrote this tome. This means he interviewed Trump and wrote the book so that Trump could take credit for it -- according to earlier interviews of Tony Schwartz, Trump was easily distracted during the process and did not contribute enough information on any kind of system for making deals that the ghostwriter (Schwartz) had to do his own research into real estate processes and use Trump's war stories to lace the thing together to reflect Trump's voice. Trump could not give any authority as to how to make a deal... and has demonstrated in his time in office that he is fearful of confrontation and eager to please countries that have rarely supported us and insulted our allies. Trump did not write notes on this project, he did not write a word for this book or any of his other books.

You have to be capable of insight to contain emotions, assumptions, bias. Trump, his followers and most people in general are not able to do it. Its a big emotional world for people like that... Emotionalism is a core aspect of fascism and both parties and all factions are driven by their feelings. The winners are the ones that can play those feelings to their advantage.
