This phone is still a Beast in 2022. After nearly 6 years with this device I can't imagine switching to another. Would be such a Major downgrade for Me. These are So repairable if You keep some spares around for parts.

My V20 hasn't been my daily since 2020 but it still works. Shattered the screen years ago, I really should fix it. It was a great phone in its prime.

learning curve to rooting the v20 was a bit more than any of the samsungs I had, but once I figured stuff out it's been great:)(think 3-4 yrs now)

Hey man - love this and your guide on rooting as well. I used a V20 as a daily from 2016 when it was brand new all the way to August of this year. By that time it would constantly overheat despite factory resets, the headphone jack was toast, the screen had major retention issues, and the battery had been replaced twice but the overheating kept killing them. I recently got curious about tinkering with software and rooting androids and decided to replace my broken headphone jack, repaste the CPU, buy a new and freshly manufactured battery - and what do you know it's back to life and kicking like it's practically mint. Time to root it! I haven't tried the process yet but I really appreciate the time you took to make a guide. I'll comment on that video once it's good to go!

Love LG phones, had a LG G3 all through the LG V60 dual screen and some LG stylo phones. Still using a LG phone as one of my daily drivers along side my samsung galaxy z fold in 2024. #TeamLG 👏👍

P.s love the fact that most of LG's older phone have micro sd card slot that support 2TB cards. It blows my mind how my old LG G5 from 2016 can use my 1TB micro sd card i bought from amazon 👏👍.

I upgraded to an LG V40 from my V20 two years ago. Don't get me wrong it is a pretty good phone, but I can't help but feel that I downgraded. Ass non-removable battery, and no ir blaster. I may be crazy repurchasing a 6 year old phone in 2022, but I have reordered a new in the box V20 for $115 off of ebay.

I love my LG V20 VS995! Android 7 works better than 8 but app support is more limited in Android 7 so I just stay with android 8 and themes work better on 8 too

I'm getting my replacement v20 this week. Damn, I love this phone.
I've never rooted it tho. Is it worthwhile? I wouldn't want to lose any features... And need to use it with Microsoft authenticator, so was worried it would not work after rooting

i love my V20, still works great and when my kids loose the tv or bluray remotes i can just use my phone. no wifi needed due to it's IR blaster built in. and with a good set of earbuds( i use Sony Extra Bass earbuds) the Quad dac makes Audio sound so great!. the fact i can repair or replace pares with ease is a huge plus for me.
