I thoroughly believe this should be made into a series. It would be fascinating to see the abilities people put on their gear or what gear Dude recommends per weapon. Each episode can be done by class/subclass.

Thank you for this video. I started playing splatoon to connect with my kids but I love it and still play even though they are teenagers. I changed my gear and my game has improved a ton! I can't wait to play against my daughter who plays competitive to see if I can keep up!

AWESOME vid dude! This is something I really needed when I first started playing. I eventually learned everything about perks that I needed to, but it was difficult. From playing the game and making observations, to watching multiple different splatoon videos and splatoon content creators, to just learning what felt right for me, it was hard to make conclusions from all this different info I had. Like, I had a lot of help, but at the same time, there was really no way to ORGANIZE that information. This video would have made my builds SO much stronger if it came out two years ago. But on the other hand, the best part about Splatoon is learning about the game and being involved in a light-hearted and fun-loving community. I definitely learned A LOT from this video! I had no idea quick super jump was so important, or how effective 1 sub of ink resistance can potentially be game changing! So thanks a lot for this DUDE!!

I don't know how many times I watched this video already. Seriously it helped me to build better gear for ranked modes as I wanted to improve my style of playing the game. Actually, in Rainmaker mode I had pure builds with special increase, main save and swim speed but as I got higher I had more dificultues with it while using the splat roller as I got splatted by long range weapons. I really got better in rank because of this video. Thanks dude.

Thank you so much for this Dude. I’m not involved in the community, nor do I know what the meta is ever. I only do single ladder and managed to make X rank in 3 modes with the weapons I think are fun and effective, regardless of the meta, with the few “perfect gears” I have.
Until now, I thought special saver, bomb defense, and quick super jump were close to useless.
I’m looking forward to surviving a lot more often.

I’m a K dynamo k brella and heavy remix main. I also play quite a bit of fresh squiffer and I like the clapples and the K mini splatling. I’m working on my last piece of gear rn... then I’ll go for X rank. Somehow i got to S+ without perfect gear. Nice video🗿

Okay, that one ink recovery is actually insane. I use the all-so-hungry, Glooga dualies so it's really effective.
