Rodney truly was the best one liner comic. One of my favorites "im so ugly i went to hooker told me she had a headache."

GREATEST EVER. The one thing someone mentioned, that I'd never noticed... He never cursed. Brilliant guy Rodney was.

When I was married, my credit card was stolen once but I never reported it. The guy was spending less than my wife!

Back when RD was performing, there was nobody like him.
And today, there is still nobody like him.
One of a kind talent who brought smiles to so many!

I love the way he kept smiling (genuinely) when the orchestra spoiled the 'Sue Goo' punchline, but he just came back and finished the joke, AND MADE IT WORK. Great comedian.

When I was kid we were so poor we had to sit around a candle to keep warm. When it got really cold, dad would light it.

When you've persevered through hellish times and retained your spirit, you become a beast amongst boys. Rodney is an example.

One of my favorite Dangerfield lines is, "I appeal to everyone who can do me absolutely no good."

I know this post is old. I can't tell you how many times I've watched it. I love reading the comments because it makes me even more aware of things I didn't even notice until you mention them. I had the honor of meeting Rodney once. I was driving to Atlanta from Macon with my girlfriend listening to the radio and heard Rodney was playing at the fox theatre, maybe it was the center stage, hell I can't remember, but I do remember this. She had no clue who he was, and I had no plans for our date other than we were going to Atlanta, but I knew I wanted to go see him when I heard the commercial, so we did. She literally peed her pants. Women were throwing underwear and motel room keys on the stage. We were leaving and laughing and repeating his one liners to each other then all of a sudden, this door opened in the hallway towards the exit and Rodney comes out. We introduced ourselves and told him how much we enjoyed the show, he shook my hand, gave my girlfriend a kiss on the cheek and thanked us for coming. Walked with us out the exit and when he was getting in his ride he asked, You want to come? I had no idea where we were going, but drank some of the best bourbon and smoked some fine cigars, met a lot of people I had no clue who they were, but Rodney every time introduced me and my girlfriend by name like he knew us forever. A true gentleman and class act. Best night of my life. Luv ya Rodney.

My favorite line in Easy Money. When Pesci comes late to pick him up in the van. "Whaddayou live in Vermont?!"..So Rodney! Lol!!..It's all in the delivery, my friends. All in the delivery.

The orchestra was still able to play solidly and in time. That was professionalism. They were definitely professional musicians.

I love the way Rodney always had Johnny Carson under his desk laughing.

You Just Never Get Tired of Watching Him!!! How that orchestra kept a straight face and was able to play between jokes is beyond me!!! I would be Crying in Laughter!!!
