i stick my piping bag into a tall glass and fill it. Hands free, and no air bubbles! the glass is there for stability instead of filling a limp bag

I work as a chef at work we tend to swing the bags (like a lasoo) before cutting the tips this bring down all the mixture and removes air bubbles very quick and easy

When I was very small my aunt would take me to work with her when school was out. She was the decorator at a local bakery. Filling piping bags was one of my favorite jobs, because if I did it correctly I got to lick the spatula I had used before putting it in the big sink to be washed. Owner paid me $5 a day, which was a lot for a 6-7yr old at that time. Loved it. I just remember being taught how to properly fill the piping bag like this, and how to properly make certain shapes and designs with the various tips. Good memories

You can also do this by putting the bag in a cup and folding the bag inside out down the sides of the cup (its kinda hard to describe), it's a lot less awkward this way and you can use two hands if needed

Don't cut the tip off, fill the bag up and before you cut the tip off, hold by the open end and fling the bag around like helicopter blades. Sound weird but I promise it works every time 🙂

I put the piping bag in a tall Glass fold down the bag and then start filling it that way I don’t have to push anything down You actually shoving the frosting in and lifting the bag slowing It’s easier that way for me

I've seen other content creators role icing in cling wrap to make sure that there are no air bubbles, twist the end, cut it, and then put it into the icing bag with the swirly end, so you have both together. Also, it allows different colours to be used together, it seems. I would think that it's easier to clean when you are just removing the empty clingfilm from the piping bag.

I have never used a piping bag .. Mom taught me using a large paper that was rolled into this shape. I'm guessing it's an older technique. I don't remember any air issues, either, but this is an interesting tip!

I like to put my pipping bag in a cup while I fill it! Start at the nozzle just like you do ☺️
