Yes, do not let your ego or anger for revenge against your ex-spouse land you in Hellfire!

May Allah forgive us of all of our evil deeds and have mercy upon us. May Allah protect us form such evils and oppression from corrupted spouses, and may He protect us from corrupted spouses.

QURAN 5 44 -47 says And whosoever doesnt judge by what Allah has revealed is a Disbeliever, wrong doer and defiantly disobidient.

Jews no longer judge by the Tawrat. TAWRAT, the portion of the Torah where Allah speaks to prophet musa.
The INJEEL is LOST(or Kept it hidden at the Vatican archive), the injeel which confirms the laws of the Tawrat.
Muslims have abandoned the Tawrat since 1000+ years ago.

Sir, I'm afraid this is confusing to me. Afaik muslims are to obey the laws of the country they live in? Not all countries have a sharia court (as far as I'm aware). Where I live (NL) one can seek partner alimony, but there is a limited amount of time and under particular circumstances when this would be applicable, definitely not a lifetime. I understand the part where seeking money to spite your former partner is considered haram. I don't quite grasp how it would be 'illegal' as it is under the law of the country one resides.
